Job summary

Company Wrench in North Carolina is seeking a motivated Rental Prep Technician to handle check in/out, minor repairs, cleaning, detailing, and installation of attachments for rentals and sales. You will maintain accurate records, support PDI of new equipment, and ensure safety and quality standards.

This role requires mechanical aptitude, good communication, and the ability to start early and stay late as needed.

Qualifications

• Mechanical skills and aptitude.

• Working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions.
• Two-year diesel engine/heavy truck repair certificate or two years of heavy equipment repair experience preferred.
• Training will be conducted virtually and in-person with occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Check in/out rental equipment and take detailed pictures.
• Perform receiving and delivery reports with notes of existing or new damage.
• Paint touchup and bodywork on equipment.
• Power wash, clean, and detail equipment and attachments for rentals & sales.
• Install attachments for rentals & sales.
• Install auxiliary hydraulic kits and cab guards on equipment.
• Service and minor repair of equipment, components, systems, and attachments.
• PDI new equipment.
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace.
• Operate forklift and heavy equipment.
• Record keeping and compliance.
