Job summary

Western States Equipment Co. is seeking an Apprentice Rental Technician to prepare the rental fleet to meet client needs while supporting safety and yard organization.

You will assist with loading, unloading, and detailing equipment, and participate in the Technician Career Development Plan to grow skills. Under supervision, you will diagnose basic issues, perform preventive maintenance, and learn to use service manuals and information systems as you progress in the role.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
• “Must be able to communicate in English (read, write, speak).”
• Attention to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and move rental equipment in/out of inventory.
• Wash, detail, and maintain rental fleet to ensure availability.
• Learn and follow the Western States Equipment Technician Career Development Plan.
• Assist with basic maintenance and inspections.
• Adhere to load securement, safety, and driving policies.
