The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is recruiting two Equipment Operator, Journey 1 positions in Anchorage. Join a maintenance crew responsible for year‑round highway upkeep across the Anchorage District, operating heavy and light equipment and performing related tasks to keep Alaska moving.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Alaska Class A CDL with N-Tanker endorsement within 90 days.
• Demonstrated reliability and ability to operate heavy equipment.
• Strong safety and work ethic, with ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and service heavy and light-duty equipment for year-round highway maintenance in the Anchorage District.
• Maintain vegetation, signs, barricades, fences, bridges, culverts, drainage structures, and road surfaces within State Right-of-Way.
• Perform snow and ice removal using plows, sanders, and graders with attachments.
• Support state mission and infrastructure maintenance as part of the Anchorage maintenance crew.
