Job summary

The Municipality of Anchorage Maintenance & Operations division is seeking an Equipment Operator to perform street maintenance tasks using a range of medium equipment. The role requires driving and operating equipment safely, with a CDL B and Tank endorsement ideally in hand at hire.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and two years of equipment operation experience (with at least one year on medium equipment).

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Two years' experience in the operation of equipment; one year operating medium equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate medium equipment during street maintenance operations (e.g., flusher trucks, patch trucks, rollers, loaders).
• Perform concrete and paving repairs, pothole patching, street sweeping, and related maintenance tasks.
• Assist with hauling materials, draining work, and other duties as assigned.
