Job summary

The State of Alaska DOT&PF North Kenai team is seeking an Equipment Operator, Journey 2 to help keep Alaska moving. The role involves year-round highway maintenance, operating and servicing equipment, and maintaining vegetation, signs, and drainage structures at the North Kenai maintenance station.

Candidates must hold a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with N-Tanker endorsement within 90 days of hire. Alaska residency is required for consideration and the position offers a stable, on-site work

Qualifications

• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
• An N-Tanker endorsement must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

• Ability to perform year-round highway maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate and service heavy and light-duty equipment.
• Perform maintenance of vegetation, signs, barricades, fences, bridges, culverts and drainage structures.
• Maintain state rights-of-way and road surfaces.
• Perform snow and ice removal with plow/sanders and graders.
• Work at North Kenai maintenance station.
