Qualifications

• One year as Equipment Operator I or completion of standard grade school
• Two years of experience operating light to heavy power equipment
• A valid Class A, Class B, or equivalent CDL with endorsements is required on appointment
• Must successfully complete equipment/vehicle performance testing

Responsibilities

• Operates Equipment Operator II category vehicles and equipment on construction/maintenance projects
• Performs pre/post inspections and safety checks on vehicles/equipment
• Maintains records and reports via logs and work orders
• Safely operates equipment with snowplows/spreaders during winter operations
• Assists with site safety setup and utility locates as required
• Keeps equipment in good operating condition and performs routine cleaning
