The Prince George's County Department of the Environment is seeking an Equipment Operator II in Upper Marlboro, MD. You will operate refuse collection vehicles, supervise laborers, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance in daily operations.

Requirements include one year as Equipment Operator I, a high school diploma or GED, two years’ power equipment experience, and a valid CDL with endorsements. DOT medical exam and 24-hour emergency response ability are expected.

Qualificações

• One year as Equipment Operator I with Prince George's County Government.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience operating light to heavy power equipment.
• Valid Class A/B CDL with endorsements required upon appointment.
• DOT medical exam completed.
• Willingness to respond to emergency service calls (24-hour basis).

Responsabilidades

• Operates light to heavy refuse collection equipment as assigned.
• Complies with local and State motor vehicle laws and regulations.
• Maintains a Class B CDL with air brake endorsement.
• Performs daily pre- and post-trip inspections and routine maintenance.
• Supervises Laborer I/II as needed and ensures safety practices.
