Prince George's County Department of Public Works & Transportation (DPW&T) is seeking a CDL Operator II for the Office of Storm Drain Maintenance. The role requires operating a range of heavy equipment and performing safety inspections and basic maintenance.

Applicants must hold a valid CDL with endorsements and pass equipment performance testing. The position supports road and drainage projects across the county and may require outdoor work in varied weather conditions.

Formación

• One year as Equipment Operator I or completion of standard grade school
• Two years of experience operating light to heavy power equipment
• A valid Class A, Class B CDL with endorsements is required upon appointment
• Candidate must complete equipment/vehicle performance testing

Responsabilidades

• Operates Equipment Operator II category vehicles and equipment on construction/maintenance projects
• Performs daily walk-around safety inspections and maintenance checks
• Maintains records and prepares reports from daily logs and work orders
• Adheres to safety protocols to protect crew and public
• Assists with snow and ice removal and emergency operations as needed
