Job summary

Columbus Water & Power is seeking an Equipment Operator II to operate cranes, backhoes, loaders and trucks at the Columbus, OH site. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, recording logs, and supporting snow removal as needed.

The ideal candidate has two years of experience with heavy equipment and a valid Class A CDL with air brakes; endorsements (H, N, X) may be required. Work schedule is 7:00 am–3:30 pm, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience operating commercial motor vehicles or heavy construction equipment.
• Possession of a valid Class A commercial driver’s license with air brakes; endorsements may include H, N, X.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of heavy equipment (cranes, backhoes, loaders) and trucks.
• Performs basic preventive maintenance on equipment and logs vehicle data.
• Acts as lead worker at assigned sites and may assist with snow/ice removal as needed.
