Job summary

Columbus Water Works through Westaff Staffing Agency seeks a skilled field services technician to assist the Crew Leader II. You will operate backhoes and related equipment, perform heavy manual labor, and maintain all gear used by the team.

You may run the team in the foreman's absence and participate in safety training. The role requires 3 years of construction experience, a valid driver's license with CDL within a year, and certifications in confined spaces, CPR/First Aid.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years construction experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with CDL within 1 year.
• Ability to obtain Confined Space Entry cert within 1 year.
• CPR and First Aid certification within 1 year.
• Erosion Control certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Crew Leader II in coordinating Field Services operations.
• Operate backhoe and other equipment for Team tasks.
• Perform heavy manual labor as directed.
• May perform Construction Foreman duties as needed.
• Attend seminars and training sessions.
• On-call duties on rotating schedule.
• Prepare for daily assignments and manage materials/equipment.
• Ensure safety procedures and traffic controls are followed.
• Maintenance and upkeep of all equipment used by Team.
