Job summary

The North Dakota Department of Transportation is seeking an Equipment Operator to maintain highways, roadways, and structures in the Valley City District. You will operate heavy equipment for snow/ice control, install and repair signs and guardrails, and perform building and ground maintenance, plus routine vehicle upkeep.

You must hold ND Class A or B driver's license as specified, with endorsements, and be prepared to work shifts including weekends during emergencies. Training available.

Qualifications

• Valid North Dakota driver license with appropriate endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to perform highway maintenance.
• Install, repair, and maintain highway signs and guardrails.
• Perform building and ground maintenance of roadway and radio equipment.
• Complete routine maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain necessary paperwork, including time records and road reports.
• Be available for after-hours work during emergencies.
