The salary for this position is at the minimum of the range. This role performs manual labor supporting the Department of Public Works, including maintenance of roads and waste systems, under supervision.
Tuesday-Saturday, with work at the Department of Public Works and Batt's Neck Transfer Station on Saturdays.
Complete Non-supervisory Employees Course 700 within the first year of employment.
High School Diploma or GED and at least 4 years of heavy equipment operation experience. Internal promotion considerations require additional performance criteria.
Stand, walk, handle objects, lift up to 50 pounds regularly, occasionally 100 pounds; specific vision abilities required.
Outside weather, near moving parts, exposure to chemicals, loud noise levels.
This is an essential position, may require shift work, overtime, and standby duty. Employees must follow safety policies. Probation period of 12 months applies.
