Job summary

Jackson County Missouri is seeking a dedicated employee to operate golf course maintenance equipment and perform related manual labor. You will participate in infrastructure work and help keep grounds in top shape for county facilities.

Responsibilities include snow/ice control when needed, cutting brush, and contributing to asset improvements. A high school diploma or GED is required, plus a CDL Class B with air brake endorsement within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Must obtain CDL Class B with air brake endorsement within six months of hire.
• Pre-employment background and drug screen required.
• Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.

Job Duties

• Responsible for operating various golf course maintenance equipment such as handheld equipment, hand tools, and other power equipment; asset and infrastructure improvements and manual labor as necessary.
• Participates in ice and snow control operations if needed.
• Cuts brush and trees from county infrastructure

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must complete Division specific training within six months of hiring date
• Must obtain a Class B commercial driver’s license with air brake endorsement within six months of hire
• Heavy lifting is required, sometimes in excess of 50 lbs.
• Must submit to/pass pre-employment background/drug screen.
