Job summary

Jackson County Missouri is seeking a Parks & Rec technician at Grade 150, with a pay rate of $21.15 per hour. The role involves operating maintenance equipment, using handheld tools, and performing asset improvements to support county infrastructure.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years of related experience, and Division-specific training. A Class B CDL with air brake endorsement must be obtained within six months, and heavy lifting plus a pre-employment

• Responsible for operating specialized maintenance equipment and is proficient in use of handheld equipment, hand tools, and other power equipment; performs asset and infrastructure improvements and manual labor as necessary
• Cuts brush and trees from county infrastructure
• Participates in ice and snow control operations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in an industry related position or craft.
• Must complete Division specific training as directed.
• Must obtain a Class B commercial driver’s license with air brake endorsement within six (6) months of hire
• Heavy lifting is required, sometimes in excess of 50 pounds.
• Must submit to/pass pre-employment background/drug screen.
