Job summary

The City of Pasadena seeks an Equipment Operator I to operate a range of heavy equipment on mowing, debris removal, landscaping and maintenance projects. Duties include safe operation, routine checks, and training/leading crew members as needed. A valid Texas driver's license is required; CDL-B is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Moderate to heavy lifting and outdoor work.
• Valid Texas driver's license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate truck, trailer, tractors, and heavy equipment.
• Perform mowing, debris removal, landscaping, tree trimming and debris clearing.
• Ensure safety of equipment, property and crew by following procedures.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks and report malfunctions.
• Train or lead crew members as needed.
