Davey Tree Surgery Co. in Lindsay, OK is seeking a utility foreperson/foreman to lead a 2–5 person crew in tree pruning and removal for major electric utilities. Office is outdoors with daily travel expectations, and safety is prioritized on every job.

You’ll operate chainsaws, chippers and aerial lifts, coordinate tasks, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Davey offers training, union benefits, overtime, and employee-owned stock options.

Qualifications

• Must have line clearance experience or related tree work.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• CDL-Class A with air brake restriction is required.
• Preferred licenses: pesticide licenses per state law.
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist and TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 2-5 person tree crew in pruning and removal for utilities, safely and skillfully.
• Prune treetops and repair damaged trees by trimming or removal.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs and other objects.
• Apply tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines.
• Conduct job-site inspections with proper planning and execution of tasks.
• Maintain and operate tools including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Lead a 2-5 person tree crew in performing all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for major electric utility providers. Including but not limited to:
• Pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal
• Removing broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects
• Application of tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines
• Perform job-site inspections with proper planning and execution of assigned work and tasks
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more

Qualifications

What We’re Seeking:

• Love of the outdoors
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Required: line clearance experience or other related tree work
• Required: Valid driver’s license
• Required : Commercial Driver’s License-Class A air brake restriction
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®
