Davey Tree Surgery Co. seeks a Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson with CDL and climbing experience to service the Northwestern OH region.

Lead a 2-5 person crew performing pruning and removal for electric utilities, inspect sites, operate chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and train new staff. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and a strong safety culture at Davey.

Qualifications

• Davey Tree orientation program on hire.
• First Aid/CPR and defensive driving course on hire.
• Required: valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: CDL-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement or willingness to obtain.
• Required: line clearance experience or related tree work.
• Preferred: pesticide licenses/certificates if state law requires.
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist/Tree Worker or TCIA Tree Care Safety Professional.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 2-5 person treecrew in pruning and removal for electric utility providers.
• Prune treetops and repair damaged trees; remove broken limbs near lines.
• Perform site inspections with planning and task execution.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).

Position Overview

Davey Utility Line Clearance, is pleased to offer a key opportunity as an experienced Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson, CDL holder and/or climbing experience preferred, joining our team servicing the Northwestern OH region from Findlay to Bowling Green and surrounding areas.

Job Duties

Lead a2-5 person treecrew inperforming all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully formajor electric utility providers. Including but not limited to:

• Pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal
• Removing broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects
• Application oftree identificationknowledgeand industry pruning guidelines
• Perform job-siteinspections with proper planning and execution of assigned work and tasks
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
• Mentor and train new employees

Qualifications

What We're Seeking:

• Love of the outdoors
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Required: valid driver’s license
• Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement or willingness to obtain
• Required: line clearance experience or other related tree work
• Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional
