Job summary

The Davey Tree Surgery Company is seeking a Foreman/Foreperson to supervise a crew performing utility line clearance and tree care services for electric utilities. You will lead field operations, plan tasks, and ensure safety and efficiency in pruning, trimming, and removal while coordinating equipment and crew members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Driver’s license required. CDL preferred but not required.
• Pesticide license, if required by state law.
• Herbicide license a plus.
• Line clearance certification if working near utility transmission lines.
• ISA Certified Tree Worker certification or willingness to obtain.
• Electric utility tree trimming/climbing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides crew supervision and line clearing and tree trimming services for major electric utility providers.
• Pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal; removing broken limbs from wires, roofs, and other objects.
• Directs crew members and equipment and plans and executes the assigned work and tasks.
• Supervises and assists in maintenance, preparation and operation of tools and equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Operates as part of a crew with Groundmen and Trimmer/Climber.
• Performs all above mentioned functions.

Position Overview

The Davey Tree Surgery Company, is pleased to offer a key opportunity in the field of Utility Line Clearance as a Foreman | Foreperson.

Job Duties

Provides crew supervision and line clearing and tree trimming services for major electric utility providers

Services provided include pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal as well as removing broken limbs from wires, roofs, and other objects

Directs crew members and equipment as well as planning and executing the assigned work and tasks

Responsible to supervise and assist in the proper maintenance, preparation and operation of all tools and equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts

Operates as part of a crew with supporting Groundmen and Trimmer/Climber

Ability to perform all above mentioned functions

Qualifications
