Job summary

San Antonio Water System in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Equipment Operator to perform a variety of labor duties and operate light to heavy equipment for the water distribution and wastewater systems. You will transport, install, and maintain equipment and materials at job sites while adhering to safety procedures and company standards.

The role features an automatic progression to Senior Equipment Operator after 5 years of continuous service.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED is required.
• Six months’ experience operating equipment in construction, water, or wastewater settings.
• Valid Texas Class A commercial driver license is required.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains equipment including dump trucks, loaders, backhoes, and trenchers.
• Transports equipment, tools, and materials to and from jobsites.
• Loads/unloads materials and cleans/work areas.
• Observes safety procedures and quality standards.
• Interprets drawings, schematics, and construction plans.
• May provide training on tools and equipment.
