Equipment Operators are responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining equipment at the Batteries Plus Distribution Center in Glendale, WI. They ensure the equipment runs smoothly, at capacity, and is properly maintained.

Openings on 3rd Shift:

• 3rd Shift: 10p-6a

Responsibilities:

Essential:

• Drive forklifts and other industrial vehicles such as cherry-pickers and pallet jacks.
• Move hazardous materials and maintain a clean work area.
• Build and pick pallets, stack crates or other materials.
• Ensure safe and efficient movement of goods.
• Follow safety regulations and company guidelines.
• Check that loads are centered and properly stacked.
• Determine when repairs are needed on equipment.
• Rotate stock to ensure oldest items are shipped or sold first.
• Perform quality assurance duties, including reporting damages and shortages.
• Use RF scanning equipment to track inventory.
• Shrink wrap goods and prepare them for transport.
• Weigh and record product weights.

Operational Functions:

• Perform all duties of Warehouse Associate with flexibility to support outbound operations.
• Drive continuous improvement in tasks and warehouse operations.
• Maintain orderly, clean, and safe work areas.
• Reinforce safety policies and rules.

Qualifications:

• At least 6 months of machinery/equipment experience, with knowledge of safe handling of loaded pallets and equipment.
• Good attendance and punctuality record.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, audits, and manuals.
• Proficiency in basic math.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to understand visual aids and recognize when additional attention is needed.
• Self-motivated with good collaboration skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Sound judgment and organizational skills.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new WMS technology.
