Job summary

Alphagraphics South Salt Lake, part of Speedy CPS, seeks a reliable machine operator for the bindery and production area. You will set up and monitor equipment, perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and work across departments to meet customer deadlines.

This onsite role requires good communication, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Hours are 8:30am–5:30pm, Monday–Friday, with benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, and PTO.

Responsibilities

Set up machines and equipment before production runs, ensuring calibration and function.
Monitor machines during production, troubleshoot issues, and adjust as needed.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including cleaning and lubrication.
Troubleshoot problems and escalate when necessary to keep lines running.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
Adhere to production schedules and report KPIs to management.
Collaborate with engineering, QC, and production management to meet standards.
Continuously evaluate and improve machine operations for efficiency and cost control.
Participate in training programs to improve skills and equipment knowledge.

Job Location: SOUTH SALT LAKE - SALT LAKE CITY, UT 84115, Salary Range: $18.00 - $22.00 Hourly, Purpose

This role will be focused on running equipment in our bindery department but there will be cross training that will be part of the training plan that will allow the person hired to learn skills to work across the production area. This allows a person to work in multiple areas to help with customer volume and deadlines each day. There will be a good variety of work to not get bored and to be able to contribute in several ways to help customers and help the business be successful.

Qualifications: Responsibilities

Set up machines and equipment before production runs, ensuring that they are calibrated and functioning properly.

Monitor machines during production runs, checking for any issues or malfunctions and adjusting as needed.

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts.

Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with machines and equipment and make repairs or elevate issues as necessary.

Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and other workers.

Follow production schedules and workflows to ensure that production runs smoothly and efficiently.

Record production data and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.

Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, quality control, and production management, to ensure that products meet customer and industry standards.

Continuously evaluate and improve machine operations to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Participate in training and development programs to improve their skills and knowledge of machines and equipment.

Perform primary task as well as other tasks assigned as business requires.

Work Schedules and Arrangements

Onsite position

Hourly - Range is $18-$22 per hour depending on experience

Hours 8:30am-5:30am Monday through Friday
