Job summary

Alphagraphics is seeking a machine operator for our Salt Lake City bindery department. The role involves running equipment, calibrating machines, and coordinating with other production areas to meet deadlines. There will be cross-training to work across production areas as needed.

You will follow SOPs, document production data, and contribute to process improvements while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines and equipment before production runs, calibrate and test.
• Monitor machines during runs and adjust as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and parts replacement.
• Troubleshoot issues and escalate when necessary.
• Follow safety guidelines and production schedules.
• Record production data and report KPIs to management.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality control, and production management.
• Continuously improve machine operations to reduce costs.

PurposeThis role will be focused on running equipment in our bindery department but there will be cross training that will be part of the training plan that will allow the person hired to learn skills to work across the production area. This allows a person to work in multiple areas to help with customer volume and deadlines each day.
