Job summary

AlphaGraphics Idaho Falls is seeking an Equipment Operator in the Bindery department. You will operate a range of bindery machinery, such as cutters, folders, booklet makers, and stitchers, ensuring high-quality finished products.

Hours are 8:00-5:00, Monday through Friday, with full-time benefits. Compensation ranges from $16.00 to $19.00 hourly, depending on experience. You will also be cross-trained into other areas to support volume and customer demand.

Qualifications

• Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Able to lift up to 50 lb with assistance.
• Familiarity with Windows-based software.
• Read and interpret work orders.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Great communication with other team members.
• Work effectively under time constraints.
• Responsible for own performance and output.
• Good attendance record and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain bindery printing equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Take an active role in quality control as the bindery area is at the back end of the workflow.

Job DetailsJob Location: IDAHO FALLS - IDAHO FALLS, ID 83401Salary Range: $16.00 - $19.00 HourlyEquipment Operator - Bindery

As an Equipment Operator in the Bindery department, your role is to operate a variety of bindery equipment, such as a paper cutter, folder machine, booklet maker, Stitcher and other bindery equipment as an expert and a high attention to detail, as a main focus of the role. The role will also be crossed trained into other areas of the department so that order volume and customer demand can be taken care of.

Stitcher and bindery equipment are professional printing machines that finish documents, with stitchers (saddle stitchers) using wire staples to bind booklets, magazines, and catalogs along the spine fold, while broader bindery equipment includes folders, cutters, perfect binders, laminators, and creasers for a wide range of finishing processes like folding, trimming, and applying finishes to create professional printed products.

Position Details

• Full Time with benefits.
• 8:00-5:00 Monday through Friday.
• $19-23 - Depending on previous experience running bindery equipment.
