Job summary

Alphagraphics is seeking a hands-on Large-Format Production Technician in Meridian, ID. You will operate and monitor large-format equipment to produce signs and banners, with opportunities to cross-train in related areas. The role emphasizes accurate setup, maintenance, and collaboration across departments to meet customer specifications.

On-site, Monday to Friday, 7:30am–3:30pm, at $19 per hour. Safety, quality, and efficiency are essential as you contribute to a busy production environment.

Responsibilities

Set up machines and equipment before production runs, ensuring calibration and functionality.

Adhere to production schedules for efficient runs.
Record production data and report KPIs to management.
Collaborate with engineering, QA, and production management to meet standards.
Continuously improve machine operations to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

This role is part of the large format department where people produce a variety of signs and banners for customers/businesses. The role will include running large format equipment and doing hand work specific to the type of product material and need. There is a good variety of work to not get bored and the ability to cross train and learn additional skills to be able to help in more areas.

QualificationsResponsibilities

Set up machines and equipment before production runs, ensuring that they are calibrated and functioning properly.
Monitor machines during production runs, checking for any issues or malfunctions and adjusting as needed.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts.
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with machines and equipment and make repairs or escalation (sic?) things as necessary.
Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and other workers.
Follow production schedules and workflows to ensure that production runs smoothly and efficiently.
Record production data and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.
Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, quality control, and production management, to ensure that products meet customer and industry standards.
Continuously evaluate and improve machine operations to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Participate in training and development programs to improve their skills and knowledge of machines and equipment.
Perform primary task as well as other tasks assigned as business requires.

We also do brand fulfillment company helping customers with creative services, custom ordering portals, ecommerce, branding, kitting and shipping. We brand everything from printed products, signs, promo, swag - if a logo goes on it we produce it.

The Alphagraphics/Inkr Meridian location is part of Speedy CPS, who has 17 locations in Idaho, Utah, Wyoming and Montana. 14 locations are AlphaGraphic locations, one is a signs and graphic business called Graphik, in Lindon Utah and a Speedy CPS retail location in Rigby, Idaho.
