Bonuses and Incentives:

1. Recruitment Bonus: Newly hired employees from this recruitment may be eligible for bonuses up to $2,000 (with $1,000 upon hire and $1,000 after completing 2,080 service hours).
2. Referral Bonus: Current employees who refer qualified candidates may receive up to $750 per referral ($250 upon hire and $500 after the new employee completes 2,080 hours).
3. Remote Assignment Bonus: Employees hired through this recruitment may earn up to $2,000 (with payments at hire, after 2,080 hours, and after an additional 2,080 hours). Eligible yards are specified in the supplemental questions.

Position Details:

The Department of Public Works is recruiting Equipment Operators to operate medium construction equipment such as motor graders, wheel loaders, and snowplows across various maintenance and construction projects including roadway, flood control, airport, and landfill work. Occasionally, heavy-duty equipment operation may be required.

The eligible list may be used for future vacancies countywide. Candidates willing to work in Mountain and Desert yards are encouraged to apply and may qualify for the Remote Assignment Bonus. Please specify all yards where you are willing to work in the supplemental questionnaire to maximize opportunities.
