Job Overview

This remote/rotational position involves working two weeks on and two weeks off or three weeks on and three weeks off, in Prudhoe Bay, AK. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and at least 44 hours at time and a half). Worley provides all meals, lodging, and transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay.

Job Purpose

Operate equipment such as boom trucks, Grove cranes, and hydraulic cranes to lift, hoist, or move materials for maintenance or construction. Assist in manual labor tasks like rigging and well tie-ins. Equipment operation is part of the duties.

Essential Job Functions

• Operate various cranes and lifting equipment.
• Perform pre-operation inspections and maintenance checks.
• Report faulty equipment and ensure safety certifications are up to date.
• Participate in safety training and toolbox talks.
• Perform physical labor when not operating equipment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of machinery components and safe operation procedures.
• Skills in operating cranes and understanding gauges and capacity charts.
• Ability to follow safety policies, work at heights, and interpret signals and diagrams.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. Must meet physical requirements such as lifting, climbing, and working in cold conditions, and wearing fall protection gear.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to acquire a Class A CDL with hazardous endorsement within 6 months.
• NCCCO TLL certification.
• High school diploma or GED.
• North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) certification (Worley can provide training).

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Class A CDL with tanker, hazmat endorsement, and DOT medical card.
• Two years of North Slope and oilfield equipment experience.
• Resident of Alaska capable of short notice mobilization.
