Position Overview

The Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to load, offload, or transport landscape supplies such as mulch, topsoil, soil amendments, and raw materials. The role requires maintaining safety awareness and proficiency to minimize risks of injury or property damage.

What You’ll Do

• Operate equipment including front-end loaders, skid steers, track loaders, articulating loaders, rubber tire wheel loaders, and excavators safely and proficiently following company policies.
• Maintain and clean equipment regularly.
• Report equipment maintenance or repair needs to management.
• Assist with receiving materials, inventory, order processing, and other general labor tasks as assigned.

Skills We Are Seeking

• Experience operating equipment such as front-end loaders, skid steers, track loaders, articulating loaders, rubber tire wheel loaders, and excavators is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of safety and maintenance protocols for the equipment.
• Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds or more.
• Capable of working in extreme weather conditions.
• Experience in landscape, hardscape, forestry, nursery, or irrigation industries is a plus.
• Ability to read and write for record-keeping and checklists.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
