Job Summary:

We are currently seeking skilled and dependable Equipment Operators to join our field operations team. The ideal candidate will operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, motor graders, and backhoes to support various phases of civil construction projects, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality on the job site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
• Perform tasks related to excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, and loading/unloading materials.
• Assist with installation of utilities such as water, sewer, storm drains, and underground detention systems.
• Conduct daily inspections and basic maintenance of assigned equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
• Communicate effectively with foremen, site superintendents, and crew members to coordinate tasks and maintain productivity.
• Follow site plans, grade stakes, and verbal instructions to complete tasks accurately.
• Identify and report any mechanical issues, safety concerns, or site hazards immediately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and equipment.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience operating heavy construction equipment.
• Familiarity with various types of equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, skid steers, loaders, and compactors.
• Knowledge of job site safety practices and traffic control measures.
• Ability to read grade stakes, laser levels, and site plans is a plus.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
• Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Working Conditions:

• Outdoor work environment exposed to dirt, dust, noise, and varying weather conditions.
• Physically demanding: must be able to lift 50+ lbs, bend, kneel, and work on uneven terrain.

• May be required to work overtime or weekends based on project needs.
