Position Purpose

Responsible for the prompt repair and ongoing maintenance of facilities, equipment, and company vehicles. Identify, monitor, and troubleshoot issues. Keep detailed records of work performed and maintain maintenance logs. Ensure safe operation of equipment, maintain grounds, and manage supplies and parts inventory.

Essential Functions and Duties

• Maintain and repair epoxy flooring as needed
• Maintain racking, replace, and move orange bars
• Perform basic plumbing (bathroom repairs) and electrical system maintenance
• Maintain grounds, parking lots, and driveways, including snow removal
• Recommend repairs or replacements for malfunctioning equipment
• Prioritize repair schedules to minimize production disruptions
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities
• Assist in developing preventive maintenance schedules
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and materials
• Coordinate with personnel to meet repair and maintenance needs
• Report significant concerns to management
• Keep work areas clean, secure, and well-maintained
• Re-key locks and repair dock doors/plates
• Follow HACCP and SQF policies and procedures as applicable

Qualifications

• Understanding of safety guidelines
• Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals
• Knowledge of production functions and equipment maintenance
• Two years of experience with electronics and mechanical equipment
• Machining and fabrication experience is a plus
• Excellent mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work independently and stay organized
• Attention to detail and basic computer skills
• Proficiency with hand tools
• Good judgment and decision-making skills in the absence of supervision

Physical Environment

• Exposure to welding fumes, oils, grease, dirt, solvents, noise, and temperature variations from -15°F to 100°F
• Physical activities include stooping, kneeling, twisting, and bending
