Shift: Shift 1
This position involves enrollment and attendance in the second year of a Wisconsin-approved apprenticeship program. The apprentice will gain on-the-job learning alongside classroom instruction, paid by Froedtert, to develop skills in mechanical and electrical duties to maintain machines and equipment. The role includes assisting experienced maintenance team members with diagnosing and repairing complex issues, with autonomy for less complex tasks under supervision. Work is subject to evaluation and inspection. The apprentice must follow safety rules, communicate effectively both written and orally, and document work activities as needed.
Successful completion of the Mechanic Intern phase.
Ability to complete the Maintenance Technician State of WI certified Apprenticeship program and meet ongoing requirements. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Use of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment. Computer proficiency and good interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
