Title:

Maintenance Technician

Location:

Fredonia, Wisconsin

Summary:

Outstanding opportunity to work as a Maintenance Mechanic for a successful manufacturing company in Fredonia, Wisconsin. This is a permanent, direct-hire position with competitive compensation and excellent benefits. Currently, openings are available for both the 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Responsibilities:
  1. Equipment Understanding and Troubleshooting:
    • Learn to set up most equipment and understand their operations.
    • Train new mechanics and operators on machinery.
    • Refine troubleshooting skills for quick repairs.
    • Understand machine sequences and cause-and-effect relationships.
    • Develop skills to identify root causes of problems.
  2. Basic Troubleshooting Skills:
    • Pneumatics
    • Electrical systems (motor control, relay logic, photoeye setup, reading electrical drawings)
    • Drive systems (bearing installation, pulley alignment, belt installation)
    • Mechanical aspects (blade setup, understanding mechanical drawings)
  3. Preventive Maintenance:
    • Perform weekly lubrication routines.
    • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual preventive maintenance tasks.
  4. Fabrication Skills:
    • Build guards, brackets, stands, etc., using welding, drilling, tapping, cutting, and deburring techniques.
  5. Part Requisition:
    • Look up part numbers in equipment manuals.
    • Write purchase orders (POs).
  6. Safety:
    • Implement safety improvements.
