Job summary

Central Transport in Detroit seeks an operations coordinator to manage equipment movements and follow-ups by location. You will create daily distribution reports, update scale tasks, and coordinate vendor services.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and solid Microsoft Office proficiency. A degree is preferred but not required; details on responsibilities are provided by the team.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have strong tech aptitude and the ability to multitask with attention to detail.
• Excellent written, listening and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is expected; degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and follow up on equipment movements in the system.
• Monitor and place assignments for equipment by locations.
• Create daily reports for distribution.
• Update and follow up on Scale Project Tasks.
• Create weekly Calibration Check report distribution.
• Request new service with vendor.
• Process invoices related to scale vendor service requests.
• Review current scale practices, procedures and reports for areas to improve.
