The role requires 5+ years in a semiconductor environment, strong troubleshooting, and cost-conscious mindset. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential for success in this on-site position.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics or Mechanical; military background considered.
• 5+ years in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Experience with diffusion-area tools; ASM furnaces or AMAT EPI systems.
• Excellent communication, verbal and written.
• Proficient in MS Office and various OS.
• Understand consumable and non-consumable parts costs and cost-reduction.
• Basic SPC knowledge for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on diffusion-area tool sets (ASM A400, Poly Flow, pumps, abatement).
• Monitor equipment, identify issues, and maintain tool health.
• Create/modify PM procedures to improve tool availability and training.
• Order consumables and non-consumables as needed for tools.
• Troubleshoot both simple and complex tool issues to resolution.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area during repairs and PMs.

Job Description

This position is responsible for performing both preventative and corrective maintenance on tool sets within the Diffusion Area. These tool sets include ASM A400 Vertical Furnaces, Poly Flow Tube Washers, and various types of Dry Pumps and Exhaust Abatement systems.

This Job Is For You If:

Can monitor Equipment in the area and be familiar with issues.

Can create/modify procedures and PM specifications as needed to improve tool availability or enhance training of other technicians.

Can order consumable and non-consumable parts for tools as assigned.

Can trouble shoot minor and complex tool issues to resolution.

Have excellent mechanical skills

Can use SPC to trouble shoot issues or determine the health of tools in the area.

Have excellent time and project management skills.

Have excellent attention to detail and follow up skills.

Can maintain a clean working area during repairs and PMs.

Job Requirements

Must Have:

• Associate of Science degree with an emphasis in Electronics or Mechanical. Military training and experience will also be considered.
• 5+ years experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment
• Experience in Equipment Maintenance on the Diffusion Area Tools, ASM furnace or AMAT EPI Systems experience.
• Must posses excellent communication skills, which includes verbal and written.
• Must be proficient in MS office products and various OS platforms.
• Must understand the concept of consumable and non-consumable parts costs associated with the job and know how to look for ways to reduce costs without affected tool or product performance.
• Basic knowledge of SPC and how it is used in the manufacturing environment.
