Job summary

SkyWater Technology Foundry in Austin seeks Equipment Maintenance Technicians responsible for preventative maintenance, electrical/ mechanical troubleshooting, and installation of semiconductor fabrication machines. Shift: C Shift, Thu-Sat week 1, Wed-Sat week 2, 6:55am-7:10pm, Diffusion area.

Requires experience with TEL ALPHA and AVIZA AVP furnaces, and a background in diffusion. AA.S./trade school or equivalent work exp; strong safety and 5S culture adherence. Clean room capable.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with diffusion processes and furnaces.
• Experience with TEL ALPHA Furnaces.
• Experience with AVIZA AVP Furnaces 200mm platforms/equipment.

Job description

Position Summary:

Our Equipment Maintenance Technicians are responsible for performing preventative maintenance, electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting and installation of various semiconductor fabrication machines and equipment.

Hours are C Shift:

Thurs day through Satur day in week one, and Wednes day through Satur day in week two, from 6:55am - 7:10pm

Tool Area: Diffusion

Major Areas of Accountability:

• Be part of an equipment services team in the semiconductor industry
• Support and participate in a Safety, 5s, and Standard Work culture
• Identify opportunities to continuously improve the area and factory performance
• Interact with other team members toward the solution of problems, and the fulfillment of manufacturing objectives
• Make routine decisions based on area priorities that affect production material and equipment
• Work with the shift leadership team and other maintenance technicians to drive the team's overall success
• Document maintenance performed

Required Qualifications:

• Familiarity in Diffusion and have experience with TEL ALPHA Furnaces, AVIZA AVP Furnaces 200mm platforms/ equipment sets
• Associate of Applied Science degree (A.A.S.), or technical trade school certificate preferred but not required. Work experience will be considered
• 10 years of experience in an Equipment Maintenance role within the Semiconductor industry
• Ability to work in a Class 1 clean room environment
• High focus on a Safety, Quality, Delivery, and 5S culture
• Capable of demonstrating analytical troubleshooting methods (Root Cause Analysis, 8D Problem Solving, and 5-why), and First Time Right repair skills
• Able to follow preventative maintenance and Standard Work procedures
