Job summary

Silent-Aire, a Johnson Controls company, is a global leader in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of mission-critical modular infrastructure for data centers and other advanced technology facilities.

In this role, you will support the full design lifecycle by implementing design revisions, resolving technical drawing discrepancies, and maintaining configuration control within engineering systems such as Autodesk Inventor and Vault.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in CAD software and ability to produce accurate 2D and 3D mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of mechanical design principles relevant to HVAC and equipment manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret engineering documents, specifications, and equipment layouts.
• Experience preparing fabrication, weld, and assembly drawings with clear dimensions and material specs.
• Familiarity with industry codes in mechanical/HVAC design (ASME, API, etc).
• Attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple design tasks in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with engineering, production, and project teams on-site.
• Proficiency with MS Office and document management tools.
• Technical diploma or degree in mechanical design, drafting, engineering tech, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Previous experience in HVAC, data centers, or industrial equipment design is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams to improve manufacturability and address production challenges.
