Job summary

Silent-Aire, a Johnson Controls company, seeks an Equipment Designer to create and maintain 3D models, BOMs, and fabrication drawings for custom HVAC equipment and modular infrastructure. You will collaborate with Design Engineers, Project Managers, Manufacturing, and Operations to transform concepts into manufacturable designs that meet product specifications.

You will support the full design lifecycle using Autodesk Inventor and Vault, ensuring design changes are implemented with proper

Qualifications

Associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical Design or related field.
6+ years of experience supporting mechanical equipment in a manufacturing setting.
Understanding of sheet metal design, fabrication processes, and material selection.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain 3D models, fabrication drawings, and BOMs for custom HVAC equipment and modular infrastructure solutions.
Translate concepts and customer requirements into manufacturable designs.
Collaborate with design, engineering, manufacturing, and operations to ensure design intent and project execution.
Maintain BOMs, assembly drawings, and production documentation with configuration control.
Support design reviews and implement design changes to improve manufacturability and cost efficiency.
