Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation (via JLG) seeks an assembler to follow detailed instructions from Supervisors and Group Leaders to build equipment. You will work with mechanical, electrical, and manual tools on a range of products, ensuring safety and quality throughout the process.

The role offers opportunities to cross-train across assembly areas, with overtime as needed and a strong focus on teamwork and efficiency in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or general labor is preferred.
• Willingness to work overtime, including evenings and weekends.
• Regular and reliable attendance on-site.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics on JLG/Jerr-Dan products using power tools and manual techniques.
• Install product accessories such as decals, mud flaps, cameras, and lights.
• Safely operate an overhead crane to position parts.
• Use hand and pneumatic tools (e.g., wrenches, hammers, torque guns) with accuracy.
• Measure accurately using tools like tape measures.
• Drill and tap holes for wires, hoses, and small components.
• Lift and stack subassemblies and parts (up to 35 lbs solo; team lift up to 60 lbs).
• Crosstrain and work in multiple assembly areas as needed.
• Follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
• Maintain attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Keep a clean, safe work area in compliance with safety rules and 6S standards.
