Job summary

YMCA Camp Immokalee is seeking a Wrangler to keep the barn clean, organized, and safe for horses, staff, and participants. The role entails about 15 hours per week year-round, maintaining the barn environment, exercising horses as assigned, and communicating needs to camp leadership.

During scheduled weekend or off-season equestrian programs, the Wrangler may support or lead activities based on training and program needs. A focus on safety and readiness is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience safely handling horses.
• Knowledge of basic horse care and health indicators.
• Ability to recognize safety concerns and communicate them.

Responsibilities

• Maintain barn, stalls, tack areas, equipment, and storage spaces.
• Exercise and readiness support for Camp Immokalee’s horses.
• Observe horses and report health or condition changes to camp leadership.
