Job summary

Summa Health in Akron, OH, seeks an experienced Epilepsy Specialist to join the Summa Health Neurosciences Institute. The role focuses on a 100% epilepsy practice with access to a full neurophysiology lab and collaboration across neurology, neurosurgery, and pediatric/adult epilepsy services.

The candidate will engage in teaching, participate in research, and have opportunities for academic appointment with NEOMED. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology.
• Completion of an Epilepsy fellowship.
• Preference for an experienced epilepsy physician with interest in complex epilepsy management and/or advanced epilepsy care.
• Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in Ohio or ability to obtain an Ohio medical license.
• Interest in participating in teaching, lectures and resident education.
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered, team-based care.
• Interest in clinical innovation, technology and the continued advancement of epilepsy treatment.

Responsibilities

• Mix of clinic and inpatient/EMU setting.
• 100% epilepsy practice with a fully staffed neurophysiology laboratory.
• Extensive in-house laboratory and radiology services.
• Collaborate with regional neurosurgical partners on epilepsy surgery.
• Contribute to education and research within the Neurosciences Institute.
