Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston is seeking a friendly, organized Practice Assistant II to join the Neurology Epilepsy team. This role supports patient flow, providers, and clinical staff in a specialized neurology setting and helps ensure smooth practice operations.

The position offers hybrid work, a 40-hour week, and opportunities to develop skills in epilepsy care, scheduling, registration, billing, and patient access while contributing to exceptional patient experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of office experience required.
• CMAA certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
• Ability to follow established protocols, work collaboratively in a busy healthcare environment.

Responsabilités

• Serve as a key point of contact for patients throughout scheduling, check-in, and check-out.
• Coordinate patient appointments and manage scheduling records.
• Process patient billing forms and scan documents into EMR.
• Manage communications related to prior authorizations, questions, prescriptions, tests.
• Support daily administrative operations and maintain patient records.
• Collect co-payments and assist with registration and billing.
• Serve as a Super User for scheduling, registration, and billing systems.
• Assist with complex tasks like surgical scheduling and provider schedule changes.
• Collaborate with neurologists and clinical teams to support efficient operations.
