Job summary

Vail Resorts in the mountains is hiring for Winter Seasonal Ski Patrol positions for 2026/2027. Responsible for the safety of staff and guests on the mountain, Ski Patrol team members stay calm in crises and assist with lift evacuation and guest support.

Starting wage ranges from $23.00 to $30.61 per hour, with full-time hours available and housing options. Perks include free passes, discounts on lodging and gear, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

3–5 years of patrol experience preferred.
Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
Excellent guest service skills.
Work well in a team environment.
Able to work in inclement weather in a mountain environment.
Must have a valid US driver's license.
Must be able to drive a truck and UTV on approved routes.
Must have a current OEC medical certification.
Must have clearance for aerial lift evacuation per Vail Resorts guidelines.

Responsibilities

Provide first aid and lift evacuation support during summer Skyride operations.
Organize and conduct lift evacuation practices.
Assist injured/ill guests on the mountain, transport ill/injured guests off the mountain.
Assist trail maintenance staff when Skyride is not operating.
Transporting supplies and heavy equipment to areas of need.
Other duties as assigned
