Job summary

Vail Resorts at Hunter Mountain is seeking Entry Level Ski Patrollers to help create a safe, memorable mountain experience for guests and teammates.

Starting wage ranges from $21 to $25.05 per hour for Winter Seasonal 2026/2027; the role requires EMT or OEC training, BLS certification, and the ability to ski expert terrain. You’ll deliver emergency care, maintain trails, educate guests, and collaborate with mountain operations in a fast-paced alpine environment.

Qualifications

• EMT certification or Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) training required.
• AHA BLS Provider certification required.
• Fluent English with strong guest service skills.
• Ability to ski expert terrain with confidence.
• Must pass Hunter Mountain ski test.

Responsibilities

• Promote guest safety through education and mountain presence.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide care to guests.
• Transport injured guests using rescue toboggans and patrol equipment.
• Maintain trails and safety systems, including hazard marking and closures.
• Perform end-of-day safety sweeps to ensure guests are off the mountain.
• Assist with other mountain operations as needed.
• Complete accurate incident documentation and reports.
• Deliver exceptional guest service and respond to inquiries.
