Job summary

Vail Resorts in Colorado is hiring for the winter season for Ski Patrol leadership roles. The Assistant Manager for Ski Patrol will lead patrollers, oversee daily patrol operations, and coordinate with senior leaders to drive safety and guest service.

This role requires at least five years of patrol experience, EMT or OEC certification, and strong English communication. Starting pay ranges from $27.00 to $35.20 per hour, with full-time seasonal employment and opportunities for training and

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent.
• Must have at least 5 years of patrol or similar experience.
• Must have current EMT or OEC certification based on minimum resort requirements.
• Knowledge of patrol including: medical, scheduling, weather, training, snowmobile, accident investigation, lift evacuation, and slope safety.
• Working computer knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint;
• Must be proficient in communication in English-speaking, writing and comprehension;
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patrollers across the entire mountain in daily patrol operations.
• Hold employees accountable to the Employee Manual and Patrol Manual.
• Deliver feedback and disciplinary actions when necessary to maintain standards.
• Assist with hiring paperwork, training, and scheduling of seasonal patrollers.
• Maintain updated patrol SOPs, documentation, and training tools.
• Contribute to ongoing safety culture and cross-team collaboration.
