Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health System in Fayetteville, NC seeks an Epic Principal Trainer to develop and deliver training for Epic users across the organization. You will design curriculum, collaborate with SMEs, and ensure training aligns with clinical, operational, and technical needs.

The role supports Epic implementations, upgrades, and ongoing optimization, with responsibilities spanning classroom and eLearning delivery and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 8 years of IT healthcare EHR experience required.
• Epic Principal Trainer Certification within three months of hire or accepting Principal Trainer role required.
• Learning course script development experience (preferred).
• Learning management system experience (preferred).
• Ability to travel between facilities and training sites.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Epic training curriculum and supporting materials for assigned applications.
• Develop eLearning modules and maintain online learning tools with the eLearning team.
• Prepare training lessons, materials, and set up training rooms.
• Collaborate with trainers and SMEs to deliver classroom instruction and exercises.
• Present information clearly and in writing to diverse audiences.
• Provide follow-up support to trainees post-training.
