Job summary

Mercy Medical Center - Cedar Rapids is seeking an Epic Training Specialist to design and deliver end-user training on clinical, data, and technical content. You will translate workflows into Epic-based use and support real-world adoption across staff.

The role requires strong communication, presentation skills, and the ability to manage multiple training projects while aligning with compliance and organizational standards. Epic certification within one year is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting or 2+ years in professional training.
• Experience with or supporting an electronic health record (Epic preferred).
• Experience delivering training to end users in any setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led and hands-on Epic training to end users.
• Coordinate training sessions and resource planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support implementation and optimization.
• Document workflows using Visio.
• Support system go-lives and ongoing enhancements.
• Translate operational workflows into effective system use within Epic.
