Job summary

Mercyhealth in northern Illinois is seeking an instructional designer/trainer to master the Epic medical software and related workflows. You will design courses, create materials, deliver classroom or remote training, and maintain LMS records while supporting end users.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and at least 2 years in training, with strong communication, facilitation, and project coordination skills; on-call support may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years previous experience training, designing and supporting medical software applications.
• Experience in adult education and detailed understanding of workflows and system configuration.

Responsibilities

• Master the assigned application/s and workflows; assess process and information needs.
• Design, build and maintain training environments for the applications.
• Provide training for installations, upgrades, and ongoing user support.
• Deliver classroom or remote training following adult learning principles.
• Maintain LMS training records and scheduling for end-users and classrooms.
• Offer direct end-user phone support and triage tickets as needed.
• Consult with providers and leaders to resolve software-related issues.
• Work with on-call hours as required.
