Job summary

Stamford Health is seeking an experienced Epic Technical Manager to lead Epic infrastructure, release management, and project delivery. You will collaborate with Information Services and clinical teams to improve patient care and implement change control across Epic environments.

The role requires deep Epic expertise, leadership, and a track record of guiding staff through complex upgrades while ensuring HIPAA and CMS compliance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years implementing/supporting Epic to improve patient care.
• 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Two Epic certifications including one in Beacon/Beaker/Cupid/Radiant.
• Complete Epic CEE to maintain proficiencies/badges.
• Experience managing staff in a matrix-management model.
• Experience working with clinicians, especially physicians.

Responsibilities

• Act as a thought leader and liaison to IS on Epic infra and release management.
• Define and implement change control processes and coordinate Epic environment activities.
• Assist with Epic upgrades, timelines, communication, and go-live support.
• Lead planning and execution of the release management process.
• Develop and mentor staff responsible for analysis, build, and project delivery.
• Provide guidance on Epic environment strategy, data migration methods, and schedules.
• Coordinate upgrade/update activities of the application and technical teams.
• Create and maintain documentation for infra configuration and upgrades.
• Communicate environment activity updates and enforce proper environment use.
