Job summary

Hospital for Special Surgery is seeking a Team Lead in IT to oversee Epic-related projects and mentor the team while coordinating with the Manager/Director. You will manage enterprise-level Epic upgrades, environment strategy, testing, and downtime communications.

Qualifications

BA/BS degree in Information Systems, Business, or related field.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple initiatives with strong project management.
4+ years in healthcare IT with Epic experience is preferred.
Epic certification or hands-on Epic experience.

Responsibilities

Provide technical oversight of Epic major upgrades.
Maintain SU installs, ad-hoc fixes, Release Authorizations, and monthly patching with Epic Hosting.
Coordinate Epic testing across environments and downtime planning.
Own Epic environment strategy across build, test, training and production.
Administer Epic change control, including calendar, approvals, and CAB involvement.
Serve as liaison between end users and IT staff; coach and develop the team.
