Job summary

Dayton Children’s Hospital is seeking a qualified Epic Analyst to coordinate analysis, planning, design and deployment of the Epic instance. You will work closely with clinical and IT teams to understand workflows, policies and business operations, planning future Epic workflows and coordinating change requests.

The role requires healthcare IT experience, Epic familiarity, and the ability to train staff on new systems.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2–3 years in healthcare, IT or related systems roles.
  • Billing experience in patient accounts or hospital operations.
  • Experience training staff on new systems.
  • Must pass EPIC assessment.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with Epic or other healthcare information systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and participate in Epic implementation, analysis and testing.
  • Understand hospital workflows, policies, and business operations.
  • Plan future Epic workflows and enhancements.
  • Coordinate completion and follow-up of change requests.
  • Perform in-depth analyses of Epic workflows, data and issues.
  • Coordinate evaluation of development efforts.
  • Plan pilot and full implementations of new Epic features.
  • Process user feedback and requests.
  • Maintain knowledge of Epic areas and relationships with enterprise systems.
  • Participate in Epic training planning and delivery.
