Job summary

CVS Health seeks a Solution Architect, Epic STARS, to lead design and strategy for Epic-based quality measurement solutions supporting Medicare Star Ratings, HEDIS, and NCQA measures. This role blends clinical quality strategy with deep Epic expertise to ensure accurate workflows, data capture, and reporting across Healthy Planet and related modules.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience with Epic environments including Healthy Planet, Clarity/Caboodle, Reporting Workbench, or SlicerDicer.
Experience supporting Medicare Star Ratings, HEDIS, and NCQA programs.
Strong understanding of value-based care and population health operations.
Epic certification in Healthy Planet or Reporting Cadence, ClinDoc, or related modules preferred.
Experience translating clinical specifications into technical build requirements.
Familiarity with FHIR/HL7 interoperability standards.

Responsibilities

Architect and design Epic Healthy Planet, Reporting Workbench, Clarity/Caboodle, and SlicerDicer solutions to support Star Ratings, HEDIS, and NCQA tracking.
Translate quality specifications into Epic build requirements.
Design scalable data models and reporting frameworks for auditable quality measure calculation and monitoring.
Own the end-to-end technical roadmap for Star Ratings builds, including BPAs and care gap topics.
Partner with Quality, Population Health, and clinical leadership to align measures with Epic solutions.
Serve as the primary technical liaison between clinical quality teams and Epic development.
Collaborate with data analytics teams to ensure timely quality measure data feeds.
